About Emma

I am a Los Angeles-based screenwriter and filmmaker originally from Vermont, working towards earning my MFA in Screenwriting at The UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. My sights have always been set on the screen, with aspirations to be a comedy and film writer stemming from my childhood obsession with Saturday Night Live.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marist College in 2022, having pursued my degree in Media Studies and Production: Film and Television, with minors in Creative Writing and Advertising. I was bestowed the Baccalaureate Award for Excellence in Media Studies and Production, the highest achievable academic honor within the department.

My time at Marist was highly enriching, allowing me to work on a variety of writing projects, such as full length screenplays as well as short digital video sketches. Along with directing digital sketches, I directed a student-written piece for Marist’s annual Playwright’s Festival. Furthermore, I have achieved my certifications in Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects.

I have worked on a variety of short film productions, and have experience as a Script Supervisor, Production Assistant, and Assistant Camera. Currently, I am working as a Script Reader and Reviewer for the Greater Philadelphia Film Office as I begin my time as a Bruin.

Looking forward, I cannot wait to continue to write, whether that is for film, television, scripted podcasts, advertising, or any other medium. Please feel free to contact me regarding any writing, production, or post-production opportunities!
